‘Rosalina’: Trailer Brings Fun Twist to ‘Romeo and Juliet’ Romance; Check!

Star+ has released the nationwide trailer for “Rosalina,” which puts a fun spin on the classic “Romeo and Juliet” romance.

The production stars Kaitlyn Dever (“Out of the Box”) and focuses on Rosaline, Juliet’s cousin.

Directed by Karen Maine (‘Yes, God, Yes’), the plot will be written by Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber ((‘500) Days with Her’).

Based on the novel “When You Were Mine”, written by Rebecca Serle, the feature film will follow Rosaline and her plans to try to win back the love of her ex-boyfriend: Romeo.

What begins as an attempt to thwart the young man’s new relationship with Julieta, turns into a journey of self-discovery as she sets out to help reunite the unhappy lovers after a family tragedy.

Minnie Driver and Bradley Whitford round out the cast.
