After signing on to return as DC’s Superman, Henry Cavill will leave the cast of Netflix’s “The Witcher” after the third season.
Season 4 will feature a new Geralt of Rivia, who will be played by Liam Hemsworth
Rumors have speculated that the actor was already planning to quit the production after season 2, due to disagreements with producers over the show’s content and Geralt’s role – which comes as no surprise being given that he has already commented on some frustrations before.
However, Deadline claims Cavill’s departure was motivated by his work schedule. There was a big conflict between the previously agreed works and the new overseas filming dates for the series.
After signing with Warner Bros. Discovered to return to live the ‘Superman’, the actor has also agreed to flesh out his performances in DC films – which will take a long time.
Have fun watching:
After leaving the cast, the actor thanked him for the opportunity and wished his replacement good luck:
“My journey as Geralt of Rivia has been filled with monsters and adventures, and sadly, I’ll be laying down my medallion and swords for season four,” Cavill said. “In my place, the fantastic Mr. White Wolf will take up the torch. As with literary greats, I pass the torch with reverence for the time spent playing Geralt and with excitement to see Liam’s take on this man more compelling and nuanced. Liam, good lord, will bring such wonderful depth to this character, and dive into it and see what you can find.
Remember that the next episodes will arrive on the streaming platform in 2023.
