Through his Facebook profile, the dancer from Ballando Con Le Stelle admitted that he did not want to stop there: “I specified that the shirt I was wearing, which has been part of my collection for years, is in public sale in Italian stores. without ever thinking that it was an anti-democratic propaganda tool. I remember that the shirt contains a phrase by Gabriele D’Annunzio which is freely reproduced also in the study manuals of Italian literature adopted in schools”.

It would seem, according to him, that the material was extensively edited by Rai before being broadcast: “I would also add that the shirt I was wearing was seen by representatives of Rai both during my rehearsals for the artistic performance only when registering the same , without any objections. I will add that the material edited and then broadcast was examined further by the representatives of Rai who did not doubt in the least the regularity and legality of the images”.
