How can I save on heating for future bills? Here are some useful tips.
This winter is going to be very difficult. Although throughout Italy it seems that due to climate change temperatures do not want to drop, some are already worried about the gas bills they will have to pay at the end of the month. Electricity bills, in fact, have tripled and the same goes for gas bills, between heating and hot water. What to do to try to save?

Saving on gas not only has an economic benefit but also an environmental benefit. In this way, there is more awareness of ecology and waste that we would otherwise commit. So let’s try to avoid this waste even when the gas crisis is over.
Several solutions can be adopted to try to save a few hundred euros, without necessarily having to change supplier or type of heating. You can start, for example, by keeping the house at a temperature of about 18, maximum 20 degrees. The 20 degrees, in fact, are the ideal gradation for our body and you can also think of buying a smart thermostat, able to connect to home wifi and better manage temperatures, thus helping to avoid unnecessary waste of energy.
But that’s not all.
Bills too high, how to save on radiators
In addition, it is advisable to bleed the radiators from time to time, so that they continue to heat the house properly. Not everyone knows that, in fact, real air bubbles can form in radiators, which hinder the proper functioning of the heating system, making it less efficient. It is therefore good to clean the radiators at least once a year and it is very simple: just turn the valve to evacuate the excess air. Most modern radiators may not allow manual bleeding, but you can always purchase a bleeding valve for this.

Two other very simple tips: remember never to cover the radiators with clothes or blankets to let them dry first because you would limit its power. The other trick is to buy insulating panels to place behind the radiators, in order to keep the heat constant. Only one, in fact, is able to optimize the heat: in this way you will not only have a warmer house, but also a significantly cheaper bill. Alternatively, a simple insulating sheet can be used: it costs little, but is very effective.
