Popular Animated Show ‘Inside Job’ Season 2 Is Canceled By Netflix

Inside Job, the popular adult science fiction sitcom on Netflix has received a shocking update regarding its continuation. Since its beginning, Inside Job has received glowing praise from critics.

The streaming platform Netflix also renewed the series for season two in June 2022. But changes have taken place recently. The series is a workplace comedy that takes place where conspiracy theories reside.

Adult animated shows including Inside Job have been widely known on the streaming platform. This series has been the first project of Takeuchi with Netflix.

The official synopsis of the show reads, “For employees of the Deep State, conspiracies aren’t just theories — they’re fact. And keeping them secret is a full-time job.” Let’s see if we are getting a second season of the animated series.

Is ‘Inside Job’ Season 2 Happening On Netflix?

Takeuchi confirmed in a tweet that Netflix officially canceled the fan-favorite animated show ‘Inside Job’ despite renewing it for a second season in 2022. Inside Job won’t get more episodes and the story is sadly concluded.

The showrunner and the Inside Job crew are shocked and disappointed by the cancellation. Takeuchi discussed the concept behind the series in 2021, and enthusiasts seem to like it a lot.

She joyfully explained, “The world wasn’t really fully developed yet, in terms of What is this? What is the Shadow government company? What does it do? That had to be figured out because there’s no model for that.

If the show was about working in a diner, you know exactly what a diner does. But you don’t know what a shadow government does. That part came later.”

The animated show has also been praised for offering a new perspective on real-life conspiracy theories that people find interesting.

Showrunner Of ‘Inside Job’ Is Heartbroken By This Cancelation

Takeuchi tweeted confirming the cancelation of the famous series penning, “I’m sorry guys, it’s true.”

She then penned a letter for the spectators saying, “I’m heartbroken to confirm that Netflix has decided to cancel Season 2 of Inside Job. Over the years, these characters have become real people to me, and I am devastated not to be able to watch them grow up.

Reagan and Brett deserved to get their ending and finally find happiness. And I would have loved to be able to share what was in the store with you all. To everyone who watched, thank you for coming along on the ride.

Even though I’m sad, it helps to know that there are people out there who cared just as much about these characters as me.” You can check out the official tweet below.

One of the writers of the show Chase Mitchell also penned about the cancelation in a now-deleted tweet. Chase said, “I hate posts like this but our show got canceled on Friday. I got that job and wrote 4 episodes of animated TV because the showrunner found me on here.

Before that, I wrote 10 years of late-night b/c someone found me on here too. I’m really f—ing good at what I do. Hit me up.

I dunno if I was allowed to say this but honestly that streamer does not care about animation anymore so who gives a sh*t.”

Enthusiasts of the show are furious but without a doubt Inside Job is one of the funniest animated shows out there. Because of the overwhelmingly positive response from the audience, everyone was fairly certain that the series would continue for a long period of time.

However, the abrupt cancellation led to increasing sadness. Though there are more animated shows to watch Inside Job remains out of the ordinary for its spectators. The series’ first season is available to stream on Netflix.

‘Inside Job’ Season One Concluded On A Cliffhanger

The first season of Inside Job concluded on a cliffhanger, and there were numerous possibilities for seasons two and more. We witnessed Rand overtaking the world and Reagan being furious.

People believed that Reagan would finally find a way to challenge her father’s rule and change the world for the better. Reagan meets with the Robes, who want to form a partnership, at the end of the season, with Cognito under new leadership.

Reagan, on the other hand, must make a major ruling about her future. But unfortunately, the cliffhanger will remain a mystery for the spectators.

Netflix describes the series as “Lizard people? Real. The moon landing? Fake. Managing the world’s conspiracies is a full-time job for an awkward genius and her dysfunctional co-workers.”
