The victory of the eighth edition of the Italian Pizza Doc Championship went to the pizza of chef Alessandro Servidio. The 33-year-old Campanian is the owner of Ale’s Pizza & Food restaurant in Reggio Emilia. The prestigious competition, for which Servidio won the trophy, is announced and organized by the National Pizza DOC Academy chaired by Antonio Giaccoli.
The Pizza Doc was held in three days with a continuous competition that took place in Paestum. More than 500 pizza makers from all over the country competed for the title of best pizza maker in Italy. Also present at the competition are pizza makers from all over Europe, South America and the Arab world.

Alessandro Servidio, however, really managed to beat the competition, scoring great results. The pizza maker was awarded first place in the Classic Pizza category. But the successes didn’t stop there. It also took second place in the Pizza pan category.

Alessandro Servidio is not only the winner of the eighth edition of Pizza Doc, but many also know him as “the guy who taught all of Italy how to make pizza”. Indeed, during the first confinement, he published a tutorial on Facebook which today has more than 13.5 million views. It is an enviable career that sees him evolve in many fields.

Baking instructor, consultant for many food companies and food influencers, he has participated in several television programs, including Bake Off Italia-Dolci sotto un roof on Real Time and Il Boss delle Pizze on Alice Tv. In 2019, Alessandro Servidio he has received the Italian Television Award in the TV and Food category “for the media feat of which he was the protagonist thanks to a skilful use of all-out communication that saw him be the subject of massive attention from television, newspapers, magazines and new media”. In addition to these awards, the prestigious Sanremo Lifestyle Award was added in February 2020. Finally, in 2021, the La Fescina award and the Pizza DOC award arrived.
