In an interview with Variety, actress Yara Shahidi, who will bring the new version of Tinkerbell to life in the live-action ‘Peter Pan and Wendy’, commented on the iconic fairy’s look and how she approached the character.

“You know, Tink is really a lot of fun. I think what I like the most about this new version is that it comes with a lot of action. She might be a famous helper, but I love that she has her own goals and motivations. I don’t want to reveal too much, but I’m really excited for this adaptation ”.

The film is slated for release in 2022.

Ever Anderson, daughter of Milla Jovovich and Paul WS Anderson, will bring Wendy to life, while Alexander Molony will be the intrepid Peter Pan.

The cast also includes Jude Law as the infamous Captain Hook, Alyssa Look as Princess Tiger Lily, Rebecca Hall as Mrs. Darling, and Jim Gaffigan as Mr. Smee.
