The last 12 took place on Disney + Day, an event that highlighted a list of future content for the streaming platform.
While Marvel fans have received several updates on the series being planned, fans of the “Percy Jackson” saga have been extremely disappointed.
After months of no news from the series based on Rick Riordan’s novels, they were hopeful that something new would be released during the event.
It was because Riordan himself had posted on his personal blog that news of the series would arrive “soon”.
As there had not even been any mention of the project on the 12th, social networks were flooded with comments of disappointment on the subject.

Recalling that the last news of the adaptation was given by Riordan, when he revealed that James Bobin had been hired to order the pilot episode.
Robin is known for the critical and successful film “Dora and the Lost City”. Riordan was full of praise for the director, saying he “is both an amazing person and an incredibly talented director who fulfills all the requirements we wanted for a partner.”
In another article, Riordan revealed that he had a “very positive conversation” last Friday August 20 with Disney executives about the series and confirmed that everyone was delighted to see it come to life.
“We had a very positive conversation [na sexta-feira] with senior executives from the various branches of Disney: Disney Entertainment, Disney TV, 20th Century Studios and Disney +. It was the first time that we were all in the same room (well, in a Zoom room) to insist that we had the same information and shared the same goals, ”he wrote.
Riordan continues, “Having everyone together to align our visions for the series has been extremely helpful and I think a lot of the confusion has been resolved. The good news is that they are quite ready, as they say, to put on the show and do it right. A lot of them also have kids who grew up with ‘Percy Jackson’, so they get it. They understand that there are millions of you who look forward to seeing Percy Jackson come to life in a new way. We feel supported and listened to, and I’m more confident than ever that the series will play out as it deserves.
According to the author, Disney will invest heavily in the series and the budget will be similar to that of “The Mandalorian” and “WandaVision” – which cost an average of US $ 100 million in the first season.
The release of the series is not yet planned.

Chris Columbus directed the film adaptation of the first volume, “Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief,” which starred Logan Lerman, Alexandra Daddario, Brandon T. Jackson and Jake Abel.
Despite mixed reviews, the film grossed nearly $ 227 million worldwide, on a budget of $ 95 million.
In 2013, ‘Percy Jackson and the Sea of Monsters’ grossed just $ 199 million and received severe reviews for the narrative, which strayed too far from the original novel.
