According to The Ronin, ‘The Suicide Squad’ spinoff series ‘Peacemaker’ has hired another member of the directorial team: Brad Anderson.
Known for her work in the feature film ‘O Operário’, with Christian Bale, and in the series ‘Fringe’ and ‘Titãs’, Anderson joins the already confirmed Rosemary Rodriguez.
The series will explore the origins of John Cena’s character from “The Suicide Squad”, the Peacekeeper, a man who believes in peace at all costs – no matter how many people he has to kill to do so.
James Gunn, director of The Suicide Squad, wrote the script for the series and directed several episodes.
In addition to playing the lead role, Cena enters as executive producer of the project.
The cast will also feature Danielle Brooks, Robert Patrick, Nhut Le and Freddie Stroma, as well as the return of Steve Agee and Jennifer Holland, who will reprise their roles in the film.
Don’t forget that ‘O Esquadrão Suicida’ will debut on August 6th.
