The latest scam circulating on the web in recent weeks concerns PayPal. It is the system of online payments and financial services that is usually based on virtual cards.

Thanks to this virtual payment method, users have the possibility of making online purchases without directly communicating their credit or debit card data.

Despite the tricks, network hackers have recently put into practice a series of phishing attempts. In this case, the so-called scammers send potential victims communications regarding credits on virtual accounts up to 1,000 euros. A serious problem, even for PayPal’s image. But such a scam with a little ingenuity can be avoided. Just avoid touching or clicking on the link offered in the fake emails or messages.

If clicked, attackers can access sensitive data within moments. And not only that: this virus could trigger a mechanism to also access current accounts, deposits and personal passwords. A real drama. Therefore, avoid e-mails from very particular and foreign addresses, which on this occasion can represent complete disasters for those who are deceived.
