On My Block Spin-Off, ‘Freeridge’ Release Date & Trailer Is Here

The On My Block spin-off ‘Freeridge’ has finally arrived. Not only has the spin-off show been confirmed, but the release date and trailer have also been revealed.

Freeridge is yet another teen comedy-drama with a wonderful narrative. Gloria, Ines, Demi, and Cameron in the series spark a curse that brings gloomy bad fortune into their lives. The official logline of the series from Netflix reads, “Freeridge is a coming of age comedy following sibling rivals Gloria and Ines and their friends Demi and Cameron who have unleashed a curse bringing dark misfortune into their lives.

There’s a new core four in town in this On My Block spinoff series and an unforgettable adventure to be had.” Now as the show approaches the excitement enhances. ‘Freeridge’ Release Date Is Set For February 2023

The Netflix spin-off show ‘Freeridge’ is set to premiere on February 2, 2023. That is quite early, and the season will consist of 8 episodes of approximately 30 minutes each. Because all of the episodes will be released on the same day, audiences will not have to wait weeks for the next episode.

Co-creators and co-showrunners Jamie Uyeshiro, Eddie Gonzalez, and Jeremy Haft dropped details on the upcoming series.

They said, “Some of the greatest comments we’ve heard about On My Block were from fans telling us that they felt seen and represented. As we embark on Freeridge, a more female-driven show, we will continue to invest in authentic characters that represent our passionate audience…Oh, and there may be gnomes.”

Freeridge Trailer Is Exciting For The Spectators

The teaser trailer gives the spectators the first look at the cast members. And it just grabbed a lot of spectators’ attention. Series co-creator Lauren Iungerich also said to Tudum that, “Both shows rely heavily on mystery to drive the story. And both shows have series-long mythologies.”

Lungerich also hinted about the cast and what spectators to anticipate. 

“Fans should know that the new core four of Freeridge don’t step into the shoes of our original crew. They step into their own shoes, right alongside the legacy of the kids who came before them.

Through the lens of this new group of friends, we’ll see Freeridge as we know it and also explore a Freeridge we haven’t seen before. Where On My Block was driven by the boys, Freeridge is being driven by the girls.”
