A very special but at the same time very popular charcuterie is however in danger. We are talking about porchetta, a type of pork preparation typical of central Italy, exactly from the province of Rome and the so-called ‘Castelli’.
The porchetta that could cause you problems: do not buy this brand
Porchetta, well known from Ariccia, is a very popular dish for several reasons. So much for its use: it can be eaten as a typical main course, sliced together with a side dish. But also as a snack, inside a sandwich with sauces or other ingredients. It should be eaten both cold and hot.

But be warned: porchetta lovers will need to be careful where to buy it these days. In fact, the Department of Health yesterday issued a recall notice for a specific brand that produces and sells this type of salami.
In fact, it seems that the wrappers of porchetta di Ariccia from Iperal supermarkets have been infected. Microbiological risk, as explained by the ministry. That is to say, during the preparation and packaging of the product, it is possible to have come into contact with microbes and bacteria that theoretically become harmful to the human organism.
The Iperal supermarket chain is typical of the Lombardy region. The stores are in fact limited to the provinces of Sondrio, Lecco, Como, Varese, Monza Brianza, Brescia and Bergamo. Therefore, the inhabitants of these areas must at all costs avoid buying and consuming the porchetta of the same brand and of the same production.
