Netflix has launched one of the most acclaimed films by audiences at this year’s Cannes Film Festival in its catalog, which has captured the attention of subscribers. The film entered the TOP 10 most-watched streams, and garnered 96% approval on Rotten Tomatoes.
“The Unknown” follows an undercover cop who embarks on a journey alongside a new friend: a man under investigation for murder.
The film is based on a true crime considered one of Australia’s most shocking: Daniel Morcombe, a boy just 13, disappeared in 2003 on his way to the mall for a haircut. The investigation into what really happened lasted for years and is told in the film.
