The decision made by Netflix this month will certainly not please many subscribers for various reasons
2022 cannot be considered a year of satisfaction for Netflix. The global streaming giant is facing several vicissitudes, in particular due to the subscription crisis.

Netflix indeed, already in the first half of the year, recorded a sharp drop in subscriptions, but also many terminations of users who had previously subscribed to packages for the streaming channel’s television offers.
Blame it on rising TV subscription prices. But also of the many competitors that have arisen lately, from Disney Plus to Prime Video, also passing through the most recent Apple TV or Chili.
Audiences don’t like Netflix’s decision: Many TV series will be canceled in October
Moreover, there is another policy, aimed at saving their own space, which Netflix audiences don’t like. Indeed, the broadcaster has decided, by the end of October, to cancel and expire many films and television series present in its schedule.
In practice, the American broadcaster has compiled a list of on-demand programs that will no longer be usable or available from next November. The reason? Save on the number of content and make room for other future projects to come.

Makes it a pretty smart and common choice, since other streaming channels with Prime Video or Disney Plus do the same, but it’s also a warning to its subscribers: if you want to pick up an unseen series, do it now or never !
Here are the titles of TV series on Netflix expiring on October 31:
Food Wars!: Shokugeki no Soma Season 1 My Babysitter’s a Vampire Seasons 1-2Offspring Seasons 1-7, Open Season 2 (2008) Trotro Season 1, Homes Season 1Best Wishes, Warmest Regards: A Schitt’s Creek Farewell (2020) Schitt’s Creek Seasons 1-6Zoo Seasons 1-3 Sofia the First Seasons 1-4 Death Notes Season 1 Vampire Knight Season 1 Hemlock Grove Seasons 1-3
As you can see, these are niche TV series and less popular than usual. Netflix will hardly decide to expire the most successful products, to allow neophytes and rewatch enthusiasts to view them.
