‘Violent Cases’, a beautiful comic book written by Neil Gaiman and illustrated by Dave McKean, will be adapted for the cinema. One of the main cast names is veteran Ben Kingsley, known for his roles in “Ghandi” and Marvel’s “Iron Man 3.”

The film will be written by writer Mike Carey, directed by Colm McCarthy and produced by Camille Gatin, a trio who worked together on Melanie: Last Hope (2016). The rest of the production is handled by Scary Monster, Lakesville Productions and Foton Pictures.

“I’m thrilled to be working with this fantastic team on ‘Violent Cases,’ which for me is about the power and importance of storytelling, how we negotiate the shadows cast by father figures in our lives, and most of all , of our inner child’s right to be heard,” Kingsley said.

“Violent Cases” is the first graphic novel by Neil Gaiman and Dave McKean in all of history. It was originally released in 1987.
