“Naomi”: The CW Series Gets AWESOME New Art; Check!

The CW recently released some amazing new art from the upcoming ‘Naomi’ series, created by acclaimed director Ava DuVernay (‘Eyes That Damn’).

Jill Blakenship also joins as a co-creator.

Amanda Marsalis, known for her work on works like “Queen Sugar” and “Ozark”, directs the pilot episode.

DuVernay is in charge of production alongside Blankenship, who also signs the screenplay.

Kaci Walfall brings the titular character to life. Camila Moreno, Alexander Wraith, Cranston Johnson, Barry Watson, Mary-Charles Jones, Aidan Gemme, Mouzam Makkar, Will Meyes and Daniel Puig complete the cast.

For those who don’t know, the original comic was written by Brian Michael Bendis, David F. Walker and Jamal Campbell, and accompanies a young alien who comes to our Earth to protect her from a genocide that destroyed her world. native.

“Naomi” will show the journey of a teenage girl who leaves her small town to the far reaches of the multiverse. When a supernatural event shakes her homeland, the young woman sets out to discover her origins … But her discoveries will call into question everything we believe about our heroes.

The series will be part of the same universe of “Painkiller”, a future spin-off of “Black Ray”.
