“Mortal Kombat”: battle for the fate of the universe in the trailer for the animated film; Watch!

The animated feature “Mortal Kombat Legends: Battle of the Realms” won its first trailer.

Directed by Ethan Spaulding, the film is a direct sequel to “Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion’s Revenge”.

The heroes are attacked by Shao Kahn, who forces Raiden and his group of warriors to agree to participate in a final Mortal Kombat that will determine the fate of the realms. This leaves the good guys to travel to the Outworld to defend Earthrealm as Scorpion travels to find the Kamidogu (a mystical relic created by the mighty ancient gods) before being used to bring back the mysterious One Being who would destroy the universe.

The production will feature the return of Joel McHale (Johnny Cage), Jennifer Carpenter (Sonya Blade), Jordan Rodrigues (Liu Kang), Patrick Seitz (Scorpion & Hanzo Hasashi), Artt Butler (Shang Tsung & Cyrax), Robin Atkin Downes (Shinnok & Reiko), Dave B. Mitchell (Raiden, Kintaro & Sektor), Ikè Amadi (Jax Briggs & One Being), Gray Griffin (Kitana, Satoshi Hasashi & Mileena) and Fred Tatasciore (Shao Kahn).

The feature will also feature the introduction of Matthew Mercer (Stryker & Smoke), Bayardo De Murguia (Sub-Zero / Kuai Liang), Matt Yang King (Kung Lao), Paul Nakauchi (Lin Kuei Grandmaster), Emily O’Brien ( Jade) and Debra Wilson (D’Vorah).
