AMC+ has officially renewed the “Moonhaven” series, a futuristic production about a human colony built on the moon, for season 2.
The next season will have six episodes, which will be released in 2023.
“It’s a great and interesting series, brilliantly led by Peter Ocko. The story is suspenseful, with a phenomenal cast delivering memorable performances,” said Dan McDermott, president of entertainment at AMC Studios. “What Peter and his team are creating for Season 2 is on another level. Fans will be thrilled.
Peter Ocko (“Black Sails”) is joining as a writer and producer on the series.
One hundred years in the future, the plot revolves around Bella Sway (Emma McDonald), a lunar cargo pilot and smuggler who is framed for a crime and abandoned in Moonhaven, a utopian community set in a Garden of Eden built on the moon to find solutions to the problems that will soon end civilization on Mother Earth.
