‘Mission: Impossible 8’ has been postponed from November 3, 2022 to July 6, 2023.

Writer and director Christopher McQuarrie intended to release the films in 2021 and 2022 – but the delay in filming meant that possibility was ruled out and the films were postponed for a year to 2022 and 2023.

The productions will not be shot simultaneously as star Tom Cruise will now have to leave on his ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ worldwide promotional tour, which has also been postponed from July 2, 2021 to November 19, 2021.

Production of “Mission: Impossible 8” will begin shortly after Cruise completes promotional duties for “Maverick”.

In a February 14 Instagram post, McQuarrie confirmed the filming of ‘Mission: Impossible 7’ in the Middle East and said he would return to London for “some finishing touches” ahead of his “biggest challenge yet” , adding the hashtag “# MI7MI8”.
