“ Minari – In Search of Happiness ” continues to win multiple awards, and at the latest Academy Awards, acclaimed actress Yuh-Jung Youn brought home the Best Supporting Actress statuette, becoming the first South Korean actress to achieve victory.
Youn competed for the award alongside names like Maria Bakalova (“Borat: Next Film Tape“) and Amanda Seyfried (“Mank“).
The work is directed and written by Lee Isaac Chung.
The plot revolves around a Korean-American family who move to a small farm in Arkansas in search of restarting life and achieving the much-promised “American Dream”. However, the house changes completely with the arrival of the irreverent and beloved grandmother.
