Michael Schumacher, now it’s really over: a blow for the fans. The German champion is still in the hearts of all Ferrari fans

The Scuderia di Maranello cars driven by the Kerpen phenomenon take on ever greater value. Now the F2003-GA story will be auctioned off, winning the fourth consecutive drivers’ title and fifth among the constructors.

It was the happiest period for Ferrari in Formula 1. Michael Schumacher’s epic at Maranello rewrote all the records of this sport in the modern era. It took Hamilton and Mercedes to fine-tune the numbers that still make all Red fans proud today. A team made up of great professionals and a winning driver. Five consecutive Drivers’ and six Constructors’ World Championships is an extraordinary achievement, never before achieved by the Italian team. The most disputed title was that of 2003, when “Il Kaiser” found himself fighting point by point until the last race with Montoya and Raikkonen. In the end, at Suzuka, also thanks to the help of Barrichello, who won the race, the German took the number 1 palm. The car in question was the F2003-GA, bearing the initials of the lawyer Gianni Agnelli, who died at the very beginning of that year. Today, this acronym returns to the fore, given that the car will be auctioned by none other than RM Sotheby’s during “Sotheby’s Luxury Week” in Geneva.

On November 9, the jewel designed by Rory Byrne and Ross Brawn will be awarded to the highest bidder. We are talking about a car equipped with a V-10 engine (one of the last present in Formula 1), with the beauty of 930 Hp. Chassis # 229 was one of the best made in those years by Maranello, which remained a point of reference also in the immediate future.

Peter Wallman, Chairman of RM Sotheby’s UK & Emea, said: “RM Sotheby’s has a well-deserved reputation for selling some of the best racing cars around and we have an unrivaled track record in bringing the most important F1 cars to auction. It is an honor to offer what is one of Schumacher’s most important cars, if not one of the most important Formula 1 cars of the last 25 years. This car is a motorsport icon, built by one of the greatest sports and racing car manufacturers of all time and driven to victory by one of the greatest drivers of all time.”
