Mercedes took the time to speak with us about the products she’s excited about right now, how she makes time for self-care, and what’s in her bag.

Welcome Mercedes! Is there one beauty product that you truly can’t live without?

That’s a tough one. I would go with Stila Stay All Day® Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner. It’s just a signature look for me to have eyeliner all the time.

If you tipped out your bag, what would we find?

Lipstick, Chanel Coco Mademoiselle, mirror, matting powder, chewing gum and a bunch of hair ties.

Which products are you excited about right now?

I have been a huge fan of Charlotte Tilbury for many years now. They have a new Charlotte Tilbury

The Beautyverse Palette – Xmas 2023 palette which is a must have for the Holidays.

Do you have different color palettes for day and night shoots?

Yes absolutely. I find makeup artists using a lot of NARS and Mac palettes on me. Maybe those well with my shots and my skin tone. I am very basic when it comes to makeup. If I like a product, I will be buying that for years.

What make-up era do you love the most?

I love the 2000s look. Thin brows, colorful eyeshadows and smokey eye. They are always such a unique look.

Do you take makeup breaks?

Absolutely, every 3-4 days I have a no makeup day when I just do face stretches and massages plus facemasks. I feel like my skin needs a break every once in a while!

Who is your beauty icon?

As makeup artists, I love Meredith Duxbury.

Is there a skincare rule / routine that you live by?

I do the 4-step cleansing and I use ZO’s products. The face cleanser, tonic, moisturizer and eye cream. They do wonders.
