Thursday 3 November Giorgia Meloni will fly to Brussels for her first meeting as Prime Minister with Ursula von der Leyen.
To announce the news, Eric Mamer, the spokesperson for the President of the European Commission. On the same occasion, the Italian Prime Minister will also meet the President of the European Council Charles Michel.
His next international engagements will also take place on Monday 7 and Tuesday 8 November, during the COP27 Heads of State and Government summit in Sharm el-Sheikh, then on Tuesday 15 and Wednesday 15 November, during the holding the G20 summit in Bali.
Eric Mamer, answering a question on the meeting between Meloni and von der Leyen explained that “what the president expects is good cooperation from the authorities in view of the many challenges that await us, particularly in terms of energy”.
