Netflix released today, July 2, the first chapter of its new slasher horror trilogy, ‘Rue of Fear: 1994’.
The plot of the film, based on the eponymous writings of RL Stine, takes place in Shadyside, Ohio, and revolves around a group of teenagers learning about a series of horrific events that plagued the city may not be simple accidents – and next victims.
It didn’t take long for the production to win over subscribers to the streaming platform, already excited about the next two feature films.

Remember that the saga has an indicative rating for adults (denoted-R). The information was confirmed by Stine himself.
“Fans of ‘Rua do Medo’ will be very happy – and there will be a lot of surprises. Readers know that books are rated PG. But the films will be for the older ones. It means a lot more fear – and a lot more terror! “, He commented in a press release.

Rua do Medo: 1978 – Part 2: July 9 Rua do Medo: 1666 – Part 3: July 16
‘Fright Street: 1978’: Camp Nightwing is divided between campers and campers who come from prosperous Sunnyside and those who come from grim Shadyside. But when the horrors behind their cities come to life, they must unite to unravel a terrible mystery before it’s too late.
“Rua do Medo: 1666”: A colonial town is embroiled in a hysterical witch hunt that has had deadly consequences for centuries. In 1994, it was up to a group of teenagers to end the curse.
The cast consists of Gillian Jacobs, Sadie Sink, Ashley Zuckerman, Fred Hechinger, Jeremy Ford, Julia Rehwald, Kiana Madeira, Olivia Welch and Ryan Simpkins.
Madeira and Welch will play a lesbian couple trying to navigate a troubled relationship while facing the inexplicable horrors of the small town of Shadyside. Madeira and Welch will bring two very different characters to life – one from the 1990s and the other from the 17th century – and will appear in every movie.
“Rua do Medo” is a teen horror book series that began in 1989. The novels are less well known than the compiled predecessor, “Goosebumps”. The franchise currently has 52 pounds in Shadyside, Ohio.
Kate Trefry (‘Stranger Things’) is also linked to the productions.
