A well-known and historic presenter from Mediaset hardly works on television anymore: this is what happened to him.

Surely more than thirty years after its foundation, Mediaset has made the success of many television hosts, today among the most important in the world of entertainment. For many, once the first obstacles have been overcome, the path is only downhill, but for others this is not always the case. A very famous character, in fact, once on all television screens today almost no longer works.

We are talking about Claudio Lippi. He was one of the most recurring characters on the small screen for a very long time, especially between the 90s and the beginning of the 2000s. Everything changed abruptly in 2006 when, after a quarrel with the production, he decided to leave Buona Domenica , the historic Mediaset program with which he has collaborated for eleven years.

Since then, her career in show business has come to an abrupt end. But what happened to this once very successful presenter?

Claudio Lippi, the refusal of commercial television

In 2006 Claudio Lippi decided to leave Buona Domenica. The reason was as simple as it was sad: he did not approve of the editorial line (decidedly more commercial and frivolous) that the show was taking, after the direction was passed on to his colleague Paola Perego. The historic show (the first episode aired in 1985) rival to Domenica In, Rai’s flagship product, was canceled a few years later, perhaps to demonstrate that the conductor was right.

The fact is that after this dismissal, the presenter no longer had a show of his own. As Fanpage reports, it all started with a feud between Rocco Casalino and Vittorio Sgarbi. “During a verbal fight not suited for Sunday afternoon, but not suitable in general, I had to make an intervention consistent with the rejection of this type of exasperated TV that I do not agree with. As it there was no way to intervene, given the exasperated tones, I walked away from the studio. The following Tuesday, I was tried for discrediting the writers. For five episodes, the other writers tried to dictate to me how I had to behave. Unacceptable authoritarianism: if I can’t express my ideas then I’m leaving”.

In the following years, the host refused to participate in similar shows such as The Island of the Famous and Big Brother Vip. He explained that he has economic problems, given the lack of work, but that he prefers to remain consistent.
