‘Mayans M.C.’ Season 5 Will Be The Finale

Get those engines revving because the club is back for more. 
Mayans M.C. has been renewed for a fifth season on FX long back. However, there have recently been some official reports regarding the series’ continuation. The show is a crime drama that takes place in the same universe as Sons of Anarchy.

Also, the Mayans Motorcycle Club, the Sons’ rivals-turned-allies. In July 2022, the series was renewed for a fifth season. Mayans M.C. has received high praise from audiences for the narrative and, in particular, the ensemble.

According to multiple audiences, the series will keep the audience on the edge of their seats, and the viewer’s curiosity will reach a peak after each episode. The storyline is also quite unique, which makes it even more interesting to watch.

However, it appears that the series’ conclusion is approaching. We have some exclusive updates and let’s get into that. 

Mayans M.C. Is Ending After Season 5

The legendary drama is officially coming to an end. Season 5 of the series will conclude the story. There will be no more seasons or stories to stream. That must be upsetting for both the team and the audience.

While opening the network’s presentation at the Television Critics Association’s winter 2023 press tour, FX Content and FX Productions chairman John Landgraf revealed that Season 5 would be the series’ final season.

“We know where it ends,” the series’ co-creator told an outlet on the season 4 red carpet.

Adding, “I know the very last shot. So, it’s not in Season 4 so I’m just going to say, there at least has to be one more. But we know exactly where it ends and we have been headed there for a while now.”

Mayans M.C. Season 5 Official Synopsis Revealed

The official synopsis of the final season reads, “Once the golden boy with the American Dream in his grasp, EZ, his brother Angel [Clayton Cardenas] and the rest of the Santo Padre M.C. face retaliation from other chapters after a failed attempt to align under one King.

Meanwhile, EZ and Angel have grown distant from their father Felipe [Edward James Olmos] after a heart-wrenching betrayal.”

Nick Grad did spill some beans about the finale’s storyline. And revealed that season 5 will put the team’s survival to the test.

“The Mayans have battled for respect, territory, and power through four intense seasons that have set the stage for an explosive fifth season that will test their survival under EZ’s newly claimed leadership.”

During the confirmation of season 5 creator Elgin James stated, “I keep forgetting to tell everybody and no one here knows this, but we just got picked up for a season 5. We knew a long time ago that it was going to happen, but we wanted to tell you guys at Comic-Con.”

The official release date of the final season is not yet revealed. However, the series’ official social media account confirmed that it would be available in 2023. You can check out the official tweet below.

All of these updates clearly mean that season 5 is approaching sooner than anticipated. And it won’t be long before we see teasers and behind-the-scenes footage.

The showrunner also said, “We haven’t really seen a benevolent leader before. We haven’t seen someone that operates on love for his brothers. Marcus operated this machine, but then look at how people would just drop like flies and Sons of Anarchy, you know, people would just drop.” 

We definitely need to wait a little more than long for the finale but it’s definitely going to be worth it. You can check out the four seasons of Mayans M.C. on Hulu. A little flashback is always exciting.
