Despite its simultaneous release on the US streaming service HBO Max, the sequel “The Matrix Resurrections” managed to surpass the $ 100 million mark at the global box office.
In the United States, the feature film grossed US $ 30.9 million. On the international market, it was US $ 75.1 million.
In total, the production has already raised 106 million dollars worldwide.

On Rotten Tomatoes, the new film opened with 66% approval, out of 77 reviews.
So far, there have been 51 positives and 26 negatives.
The Chicago Sun Times commentary still describes the film as a tribute to the past that does not bring boldness or an innovative plot. On the flip side, The Globe and Mail says 2021 couldn’t have ended better because of the feature film debut.
Thankfully, it looks like the charisma of Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss continues to tickle Neo and Trinity and lavish chemistry throughout the plot.
