Throughout 2020, several film and television productions suffered shutdowns due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The health crisis has resulted in delays and even long-awaited title cancellations, and the same almost happened with ‘Matrix Resurrections’.

The information was revealed by Jessica Henwick (“Iron Fist”) during an interview with Collider.

In the plot, the star will be one of Morpheu’s new allied warriors (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II) against the domination of artificial intelligence over the human race.

Asked about the challenges of recording during the pandemic, the actress said director Lana Wachowski considered throwing in the towel during production.

“When the recordings were interrupted by COVID-19, I was practicing my choreographies and talking at home for about three months, although we weren’t sure if we were going to record again so soon. As these three were passing by, Lana held a meeting and said, “Well, guys… maybe that’s it. Maybe we won’t go back to check-in. The new ‘Matrix’ will be remembered as an incomplete film and no one will be able to watch it, the situation is unbearable ‘.

She continued:

“She was exhausted, but we all insisted that she didn’t give up. She just flirted with the idea of leaving everything in her way. I don’t even know if I should say this, but this is what happened.

Despite fan expectations, there was so much uncertainty about what would happen to the film industry that no one can fault Wachowski for even thinking about it, right?

Fortunately, the feature has already been completed and is slated to premiere in a month, on December 22, in national theaters.

Remember that the sequel won a new advertisement, which suggests some new scenes.
