‘Matrix 5’: Keanu Reeves thinks there will be no more franchise sequels

Even though “Matrix Resurrections” is divided, those who liked the film are already campaigning for the feature to generate new sequels.

Sadly, protagonist Keanu Reeves doesn’t believe a sequel can happen.

In an interview with Empire, the interpreter of Neo was asked about this, to which he replied:

“I do not believe [que vão fazer outro]. If I had to bet, or rather if I had to vote [na ideia]. I would say that [a diretora] lana [Wachowski] I wouldn’t do another ‘Matrix’.

Still, the star has said he’ll be ready to reprise the role if Lana wants to continue the franchise.

“I’d be happy to do another one if Lana invites me… I’m in it!” “

Either way, it’s good to remember that Warner Bros. may decide to make new films without Lana’s presence.

Previously, producer James McTeigue, who also worked on the original trilogy, revealed to Collider that “The Matrix Resurrections” will be with or without.

During the interview, he said the sequel was already in development when they decided to invite Lana to resume directing.

“See. I think when you have a franchise with so much earning potential, it’s always about doing more. It’s the same way the Marvel Universe repeats itself and changes every year, you either have Spider-Man, either Iron Man or Thor. There is always the option to update these movies due to the possibility of making money with them.

He continued:

“Don’t be fooled, because we don’t just think about money. We decided to do this only because there was an idea worth telling. The idea was there, we just needed the director, when Lana volunteered and said, ‘Look. I’m interested in doing this other movie, ”of course we would pick who started it all.

Remember that the film is already showing in national cinemas.

Criticism | Matrix Resurrections is worth the nostalgia, but it’s a generic blockbuster….

Remember that “Matrix Resurrections” is a continuation of the story set in the first MATRIX movie.

In the plot, Reeves and Moss return as Neo & Trinity cinematic icons in an expansion of their story that ventures into the Matrix and deeper into the Rabbit Hole.

A mind-boggling new adventure with action and epic scale, set in a familiar but even more provocative world where reality is more subjective than ever and all it takes to see the truth is to clear your mind .

20 years after the first film, the franchise that helped define pop culture at the turn of the century is back in the continuity and extension of the original film. Matrix remains in tune with the times like a film that has changed our outlook on cinema and reality itself. In addition to Reeves and Moss, the cast includes Jada Pinkett-Smith (Niobe), Daniel Bernhardt (Agent Johnson), Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Neil Patrick Harris, Christina Ricci and Priyanka Chopra.

“Matrix” was released in 1999 and acclaimed around the world for its pioneering visual effects. The original won four Oscars and grossed $ 463 million worldwide.

Two sequels followed, “The Matrix: Reloaded” and “The Matrix: Revolutions”, both of which hit theaters in 2003.

In total, the trilogy raised $ 1.6 billion for Warner Bros. Pictures.
