Also trying to escape, Max agrees to help Furious. But this time, Tyrant Joe is even more relentless because something irreplaceable has been stolen from him.

Released in 2015, “Mad Max: Fury Road” is considered a hit by critics, garnering 97% positive reviews on Rotten Tomatoes, as well as six Oscar statuettes out of ten nominations, including Best Picture.

Despite this, the feature only raised $ 378.9 million worldwide, on a budget of $ 150 million.

Recalling that the derivative ‘Mad Max: Furiosa’ is expected to debut in June 2023.

According to Deadline, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II (“Aquaman, Watchmen”) will also be part of the cast.

Sadly, Oscar-winning actress Charlize Theron won’t be reprising the eponymous role this time around, as the plot will focus on her rise in her youth.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Theron admitted to being devastated by the news:

“This one was hard to digest. Listen, I totally respect George and even more after making the movie with him. He’s a master and I wish him nothing less than the best. bit heartbreaking for sure. I was devastated. I really love this character and am so grateful that I played a small part in her creation. She will always be someone I think about and who I think about with affection. Obviously I would like to see this story continue and if he thinks this is the way he needs to go I trust him in that regard. We are so concerned with the little details that we forget that it is what we are emotionally involved in has nothing to do with the job we are focusing on. ”

In an interview with the New York Times, Miller revealed that the original idea was to bring Theron back into the role of the Furious using facial rejuvenation technology, but ultimately decided to launch a new actress.
