Thanks to Instagram, star Will Forte has revealed the first official behind-the-scenes image of “MacGruber,” a series that parodies the classic “MacGyver.”

Strong brings the main character to life.
The cast still consists of Sam Elliott as Perry, father of MacGruber; Laurence Fishburne as General Barrett Fasoose; Mickey Rourke as Brigade Commander Enos Queeth, production antagonist described as an eccentric and arrogant military man; and Kristen Wiig as Vicki St. Elmo, MacGruber’s ex-wife.
Directed by Jorma Taccone, the first season will consist of eight episodes on the Peacock streaming platform.
For now, there is no preview yet.

For those who don’t know, the series is based on a comedy setting from Saturday Night Live, which was previously adapted into the feature film “Run the Agent’s Back“, released 10 years ago.
After rotting in prison for a decade, patriot and greatest American hero MacGruber is released. Your mission: to defeat a villain from the past: Brigade Commander Enos Queeth. With the entire world in the crossfire, McGruber must race against time to defeat the forces of evil – only to discover that evil… could be inside.
