Black Panther is ready to return, even without Chadwick Boseman. The sequel takes Marvel fans back to Wakanda, a kingdom that has lost its king but still believes in hope. And, in honor of the upcoming movie, MAC Cosmetics has launched a new capsule collection dedicated to Black Panther.

This is a limited edition, carefully crafted to represent the film set in the Marvel Universe and which precedes the release of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, expected in Italian cinemas from November 9, 2022. The first film was released in 2018 and in the casting he was able to count on the support of Chadwick Boseman, followed by Letitia Wright, Lupita Nyong’o and Angela Bassett. Ahead of the sequel, a collectible makeup capsule collection is coming.

MAC collaborates with Black Panther and launches a makeup capsule collection

The limited-edition capsule collection consists of 18 pieces and ranges from lipsticks, lip glosses, eyeliner, eye shadow palettes and brushes, to a pouch to hold all the beauty products. The palette features vibrant shades reminiscent of jewel tones, with matte finishes and shimmering metals. The colors also recall the atmospheres of Wakanda and cinema, from vitaminized orange to electric blue, from emerald green to bronze. Eyeshadows are creamy and encased in collectible packaging. Also for the lipsticks, the brand has carefully chosen the colors and the names: we find for example the Wakandan Sunset, a luminous fuchsia with cold tones. Or an opaque blue-red that responds to Dora Milaje and Royal Integrity that would be a brown tending towards chocolate. And you can’t miss the vibrant purple Wakanda Forever shade.

All the pieces in the collection are also a tribute to the characters who inhabit the film. Fatima Thomas of MAC Cosmetics explained in a note, “Like the vibrant world of Wakanda, the collaboration features plush, saturated hues that seem to suit everyone. I look forward to creating looks for every occasion with this collection.”

Where can you buy them? Also in Italy, both online and in selected brand stores.
