“Loki”: Sophia Di Martino clarifies the biggest doubt about her character; Check!

Since Sylvie, the character of Sophia Di Martino, was introduced in ‘Loki’, some fans have insisted that she is an adaptation of Ladi Loki.

But if there are still doubts, the actress herself told Variety that she was not Ladi Loki.

Asked about it, she said Sylvie is a whole new character.

Although there is a witch by that name in the Marvel comics, Di Martino said that the Sylvie series was created exclusively for the series.

“When [a diretora] Kate [Herron] Introduced the idea to me when I finally got the part, it was very clear that Sylvia is Sylvie, she is not Lady Loki from the comics. I mean, the show is inspired by the comics, but it’s a new backstory in a whole new story. And so I wanted to make it unique.

She went on to say that some similarities to Loki were created on purpose to confuse audiences:

“Sylvie had a very different story from Loki’s, I was even inspired by Tom’s work. [Hiddleston]… But Sylvie is a different person, and that was very important to us from the start.

Although Di Martino has looked at Hiddleston’s trajectory at Marvel, she believes his character has nothing to do with Loki.

“Throughout the series you will notice that Tom and I do very similar things, like our physical expressions in the fight scenes… We mirror each other. And all of this is done on purpose to confuse the audience. But the rest was my invention for this new character.

Even with all these explanations, there is still a lot of mystery surrounding the character, especially since she is designated as a variant of Loki … Unless the agents of the Time Variance Authority are wrong about her. origin.
