Another live-action Disney remake is in the works. “Lilo and Stitch” (2002) will follow the same steps as “Cinderella“, “Beauty and the Beast”, “Mogli – The Boy Wolf” and will receive an entirely live remake.

However, the film is not expected to hit theaters.

DisInsider said the launch will go directly to the Disney + streaming platform, just like the studio did with the remake of “ The Lady and the Tramp. ”

The remake of ‘Lilo and Stitch’ will be a hybrid of live action and CGI, just like ‘The Lion King’.

Dan Lin and Jonathan Eirich, who are also working on the “Aladdin” remake, will be producing.

No further news was revealed.

In the original, Lilo is a girl who loves taking care of less favored animals and is used to collecting recyclable waste on beaches to buy fish food with the money received. Until, one fine day, she finds a dog and decides to adopt him. However, that dog is actually Stitch, an alien being who is one of the most dangerous criminals in the galaxy. Now Stitch hides four of his six legs and decides to impersonate an ordinary dog, becoming friends with Lilo.
