In 2018, movie theaters around the world were shocked by the release of A Quiet Place. It’s a horror set in the year 2020, when the entire planet has been invaded by monstrous sightless creatures drawn to sound. At the slightest noise, they appear and, very quickly, attack and kill. From the first scenes, it is clear that the film does not intend to make concessions to anyone. The scene in which little Beau is mowed down by one of the aliens, lured by the sound of his toy rocket, right in front of his parents unable to save him in time, is certainly one of the most iconic in the entire film. .

The film won great success and various awards (including an Oscar nomination for Best Sound Editing), so much so that it was announced that a new chapter will be released soon. It will be called A Quiet Place – Day One and, as you can guess, it will be a prequel. The cast is forming and Joseph Quinn is currently in talks for a role.

As reported by Deadline, Joseph Quinn is currently in talks to star in the prequel to A Quiet Place, where he is expected to have one of the lead roles. For the actor, this would not be the first horror he has worked on: in 2018, he had a small role in Overlord, alongside Jovan Adepo.

The new film will be a prequel and will tell the story of extremely dangerous creatures arriving on Earth and how the human population will try to fight them and then, of course, fail and adapt to live with them. From then on, the Abbott family will not return, but we will see the point of view of other characters, with a whole new cast.

Based on an idea by John Krasinski, the film will be directed by Michael Sarnoski and is set to hit theaters on March 8, 2024. Lupita Nyong is also rumored to be part of the cast, who rose to fame as the hapless young Patsey in 12 slave. Her performance earned her the Oscar win for Best Supporting Actress in 2014. These days she would also be in talks to participate in A Quiet Place, where she should have a very important role alongside the unforgettable Eddie Munson from Stranger Things.
