‘Joe Exotic’: ‘Batman: The Dark Knight’ Star Joins ‘The Tiger Mafia’ Series

According to Deadline, William Fichtner, known for his work on “Batman: The Dark Knight” and “Entourage”, has joined the cast of “Joe Exotic” series, based on Netflix’s popular “Tiger Mafia”.

Fichtner will bring Rick Kirkham, the documentary filmmaker who appeared on the original show to life. He replaces the previously confirmed Dennis Quaid who was forced to leave the project due to scheduling conflicts.

Remember that the cast also includes John Cameron Mitchell (Joe Exotic) and Kate McKinnon (Carole Baskin).

Hernan Lopez, Marshall Lewy and Aaron Hart are the producers. Justin Tipping is in charge of the first four episodes of the season, while Cate Shortland is in charge of the last four.

The series will have eight episodes and will be based on the article “Joe Exotic: A Dark Journey in the World of a Crazed Man” by Leif Reigstad.

“Joe Exotic” centers around Carole Baskin, a big cat enthusiast who discovers that her passionate colleague Joe “Exotic” Schreibvogel is using her gratitude for procreation and profit. She then decides to end the business, sparking a quick rivalry. But Carole has a dark past, and when he pulls his claws out, Joe also decides to denounce Carole’s hypocrisy. The result is disastrous.

It’s worth remembering that the original series was watched by over 34.3 million different accounts in the United States during its first 10 days of release.
