‘JIVA!’: South African street dance series is now available on Netflix

The new South African series around iconic street dance competitions, titled ‘JIVA!’, Is now available on Netflix. The production debuted last Thursday (24) in the schedule.

In the plot, a talented street dance dancer struggles to cope with the demands of her horrific job, family responsibilities, and a hectic love life. When she discovers a silver dance competition, she realizes that this could be her ticket out of the working class of Durban. However, she must first face her own fears, defeat her rivals and resolve the chaos in which she lives.

Noxolo Dlamini plays the main character. Candice Modiselle, Sne Mbatha, Stella Dlangalala and Zazi Kunene are also part of the cast.

The series features choreography by Bontle Modiselle and Tom London.
