Oscar winner Jack’s Room will soon be removed from Netflix. The production, starring Brie Larson, leaves the lineup on January 1, 2022.
In the plot, Joy and her son Jack live in isolation in a room. The only contact they both have with the outside world is the periodic visit of Old Nick, who keeps them captive. Joy does her best to make life in the place bearable, but she can’t wait to leave. To do this, he hatches a plan in which, with the help of his son, he can cheat Nick and come back to reality.
Jacob Tremblay, Joan Allen and William H. Macy complete the cast.
Lenny Abrahamson signs the directing, from a screenplay written by Emma Donoghue.
