‘Hunters’ Season 3 Is Not Happening

There have been updates on the continuation of the story of ‘Hunters,’ if you have been waiting for them. Hunters season three will not be renewed. Season two of the show is now available on the streaming platform Prime Video.

The show’s second season served as its finale. The streaming platform announced the season finale at the same time as the official release date of Hunters season two. Prime Video has not confirmed the reason for the show’s cancellation.

Despite the fact that the Hunters series ended quickly, the number of episodes surprised audiences. The final season had 8 episodes, which was fewer than the first season.

For The Team ‘Hunters’ Story Is Completed

The reason for the show’s cancellation was not revealed by creator David Weil too. But he did tease that the ‘Hunters’ story ended the way they wanted it to.

“For me, as a kid growing up on Long Island, being Jewish, there was always this frustration and anger that Hitler got away with his crimes, that he was never brought to justice, he was never arrested, killed, tried, that he made a decision at the end of his life.

So ‘Hunters,’ being a show about catharsis, about Jewish empowerment, and about wish fulfillment for Jewish kids like me who grew up wanting to reclaim power, season 2, I hope, will be that catharsis.”

The Creator Talked About ‘Hunters’ Finale

Weil also talked about the finale, “The question [of Season 1] is: What is the difference between revenge and justice?

And which one ultimately would you choose if you had the option to do so? So, season two became an answer to that.

Being able to put Adolf Hitler on trial in front of the entire world, for them to not only bring him to justice legally but be able to really detract from his lies, poke holes in those lies, show the fallacies of his ideology, was potentially even more important than just sticking a knife, a dagger, into his heart.”

He explained in another interview, “In invoking Hitler at the end of Season 1, it felt very important, I think, to conclude that story in Season 2 and not really draw out Hitler over many seasons.

So, in the writing of Season 2, what became really clear — and I think you’ll feel this — it felt like a really natural conclusion to the story.”
