Waiting for Mr. Mercedes season 4? We understand. The crime slash horror show is based on one of the best horror authors of our time, Stephen King’s book trilogy ‘Mr. Mercedes,’ ‘Finders Keepers,’ and ‘End of Watch.

The show is one of the most gripping shows the audience watched. The plot revolves around a serial killer murder mystery with a twist. In the series, retired detective Bill Hodges is plagued by an unresolved case involving Mr. Mercedes, a driver of a Mercedes who is responsible for the death of 16 people.

In the meantime, Mr. Mercedes starts paying close attention to Hodges. This series is not for the faint-hearted but it has left viewers, including us, oftentimes at the edge of our seats. Let’s see if Mr. Mercedes season 4 is in the works!

Mr. Mercedes Season 4 Release Date Speculation

At the moment, Mr. Mercedes season 4 is still waiting for a renewal. The show is officially canceled. The AT&T’s canceled the Audience Network in 2020. The future Mr. Mercedes and other Audience Network originals were left in the dark as a result of Audience Network’s termination, which left Mr. Mercedes in suspense.

After that the streaming network Peacock picked up all previous three seasons of Mr. Mercedes for streaming. Now that opens hope for the audience. If Mr. Mercedes season 4 will ever happen, it will likely be released on the Peacock network.

What To Expect From Mr. Mercedes Season 4?

The ending of Mr. Mercedes season 3 left us waiting for more. It was inspired by the second novel, Finders Keepers, of the trilogy which introduced a new antagonist, Morris Bellamy. Morris is a fanatical reader who murdered a famous author and stole his unpublished manuscripts.

Therefore, a fourth season could focus on the return of the previous villains, with new powers, or introduce new characters in the scene. There can also be a completely new direction taken by the showrunners.

David E. Kelly stated to an outlet, “We would love to continue this franchise for as long as Stephen King continues to write these stories and as long as AT&T will have us.” Whatever happens, Detective Gibson will have his hands busy if a fourth season is released.

If Mr. Mercedes season 4 is in the works, Brendan Gleeson, who plays Mr. Mercedes’s protagonist, Bill Hodges, will most probably be coming back. We can expect the following characters to make a return!
