‘Blood & Treasure’ Is Not Returning For Season 3 At Paramount+

This is troubling news for the audience. It has officially been confirmed that Blood & Treasure season 3 is not happening at Paramount+. The series is officially over, and Paramount+ has decided not to renew it.

We won’t get to see Lexi and Danny back on the screen. But the conclusion of the series has been satisfying for the spectators.

Federman took to Twitter on the day of the season two finale’s release to make a statement about the show.

Federman said, “I don’t know what the future holds but I’m very proud of what we got to do with this show, shooting our little action/adventure on four continents and through a pandemic.

Thanks to our partners at CBS who trusted us to pull it off and our amazing writers, cast, crew, and staff. It was very much the adventure of a lifetime. And thanks to everyone who watched and spread the word.”

‘We Could Always Bring The Band Back Together’

In a statement, series co-creator Federman stated that ‘never say never’ to the show’s continuation. Also mentioned that there could be a lot of stories to tell.

“We have a kind of ‘never say never’ and ‘never say die’ [attitude]. It’s like, who knows? If the numbers are really good, we could always bring the band back together.

We have a ton of stories we can tell in this world.”

The official synopsis of the show reads, “Danny McNamara is a former FBI agent specializing in stolen art and antiquities. Lexi Vaziri is a resourceful art thief who is haunted by the tragic loss of her father, which she blames on Danny.

When terrorist Karim Farouk absconds with a priceless artifact and kidnaps Danny’s mentor Dr. Anna Castillo, Danny recruits Lexi to help him bring Farouk to justice and rescue Anna.”

The Team Went Through A Lot For Season 2

Scaia mentioned completing the second season as a miracle during the pandemic.

“The miracle for me was being able to finish that second season during a pandemic, traveling the world, shooting on three different continents over however many months — including one government-mandated break — and everyone made it through healthy.

We went through so much to get it on screen for everybody, and I think that’s a victory in and of itself, outside of where the story goes from there.”
