According to Deadline, Sacha Baron Cohen will play the demon Mephisto in the upcoming “Iron Heart” series.
“A source close to the production confirmed to the site that there are negotiations for Cohen to join the cast of the series, possibly playing Mephisto,” the site indicates.
It should be remembered that the villain was the subject of much speculation during the exposition of “WandaVision”, being at the center of popular theories which point to the evil figure as the great antagonist of the plot. Of course, the theory turned out to be wrong, because… it was Agatha and no one else!
Will Mephisto finally be introduced to the MCU?
Set in the year 2023, “Iron Heart” will follow the adventures of Riri Williams (Dominique Thorne), a teenage girl and genius inventor who creates advanced armor inspired by Iron Man.

Previously, Comic Book reported that the plot would feature Jim Rash (“Community”) as a representative of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
For those unaware, Rash made a brief appearance in “Captain America: Civil War” as a contributor to Tony Stark’s Young Talent Scholarship Program.
Her participation makes perfect sense, as Williams is a student at MIT and many of her comic book stories take place at the institution.
It should be remembered that the cast of the series also includes Anthony Ramos as the villain Hood, in addition to Lyric Ross, Shea Couleé, Zoe Terakes, Alden Ehrenreich, Manny Montana, Shakira Barrera and Harper Anthony, all cast in roles currently unknown.
Check it out in detail below:
Ahead of the series, Williams will be introduced to the MCU in the highly anticipated sequel “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever”, which will premiere on November 10 this year.
Chinaka Hodge (“Snowpiercer”) will serve as showrunner for the series.
For those who don’t know her, Riri first appeared in 2016, in the comic book series written by Eve Ewing. As soon as Tony Stark was left in a coma after Civil War II, the world needed a new Iron Man, and the 15-year-old prodigy created his own armor, which impressed Stark to the point where he created an artificial intelligence of itself. .even to help you.
