Due to recent photos, it’s been confirmed that Ben Affleck (“Argo“) will be returning to play Batman in “Aquaman 2 and the Lost Realms,” and apparently the reason is tied directly to Michael Keaton (“Birdman”).
Well-known insider Grace Randolph previously said back in March, when ‘Aquaman 2’ swapped its first sequel with ‘The Flash‘, that James Wan’s film should remove a scene where Arthur Curry interacts with Michael Keaton’s Batman, as This version of the Batman wouldn’t be part of the DCEU until after the Scarlet Speedster movie.
However, it looks like the sequel with Batman in the new Aquaman movie will be kept, but with Ben Affleck being the Batman instead of Michael Keaton, as famous insider KC Walsh points out.
Directed by James Wan, ‘Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom’ has had its release delayed from December 16 this year to March 17, 2023.
