The official trailer for the long-awaited “Indiana Jones 5” could arrive sooner than fans expected… Before the end of this year, to be more precise.
The information was teased by the director himself, James Mangold, via Twitter.
When a fan asked:
“James Mangold, when can we expect the next release of ‘Indiana Jones 5’?”
The filmmaker replied:
Have fun watching:
“In less than 30 days.”

As the film will be released in June 2023, it is quite possible that the aforementioned disclosure came from a trailer.
Unfortunately, World of Reel revealed that recent drug tests for the 5th installment of the franchise starring Harrison Ford were disastrous.
The information indicates that Disney and Lucasfilm released several alternate endings, and audiences participating in the test didn’t like any of them. Most unsettling of them from viewers was the one that would have made Waller-Bridge the new face of the franchise.
Additionally, the report mentions that “Disney is panicking” at the negative reception and there is a growing sense that “Indiana Jones 5” will become a box office failure. However, it’s important to note that none of this has been corroborated or confirmed, and there’s still plenty of time for issues to be ironed out before theatrical release.
Recall that, during D23, the first official trailer for the sequel was released. Unfortunately, the trailer was released exclusively, but our editor Renato Marafon was there and described how it went.

First, shots of the set were shown, with footage suggesting flashback footage with a younger Indiana, and as Ford was seen using motion capture dots on his face, we get a younger version of the actor. Something that raised doubts about how the plot of the fifth “Indiana Jones” will be.
The trailer itself started with Indiana Jones in scenes very similar to the classic movies, with car chases, caves, and Nazis. The preview clearly states that he is retired and they call him for one last mission.
We have Ford saying, “those days have come and gone,” hinting at the character’s advancing age as he’s called on another adventure. There was a montage of the previous films, followed by a scene of Indy racing on horseback. Boyd Holbrook’s character is also seen firing a gun into the sky. The trailer ends with several villains heading towards Indy and cracking his whip in the air. Pretty amazing!
At the end of the presentation, Harrison Ford delivered a very moving speech to the crowd, and that was the end of Lucasfilm’s presentations.

Remember that the new adventure is released in theaters on June 30, 2023.
The cast also includes Phoebe Waller-Bridge (‘Fleabag’), Boyd Holbrook (‘Logan’), Thomas Kretschmann (‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’), Mads Mikkelsen (‘Hannibal’), Shaunette Renée Wilson (‘ Black Panther’) and Antonio Banderas (“Pain and Glory”).
Remember that Steven Spielberg decided to pass the torch to a younger filmmaker in order to bring a fresh look to the character. In this way, James Mangold commands the new chapter of the franchise.
John Williams returns for the soundtrack, having served as composer on all previous films.
