Rome is preparing to host the Incanto di Luci exhibition, a show at the Botanical Garden which, for the first time, also touches the capital. Together with 18 other cities around the world, the first Italian edition of the sensory light art exhibition was born out of the successful Christmas Garden format, organized by Deag Deutsche Entertainment AG, IMG and Be.it Events.

The capital lights up with Incanto di Luci, the first Italian edition of the sensory art exhibition of light. An unprecedented journey of one and a half kilometers through the botanical gardens of Rome. A unique experience between Earth, Sky, music, Nature and lights.

Simultaneously with 18 other cities around the world, including Paris, Barcelona, Berlin, Frankfurt, Dresden and Windsor, from November 19, 2022 to January 8, 2023, Rome will light up thanks to the splendid light installations.

An unprecedented event in Rome

As the note describing the event suggests, Christian Diekmann, COO and CDO of DEAG Deutsche Entertainment AG, which launched Christmas Garden in Berlin in 2016, said: “After last year, 1.9 million people who visited our Christmas gardens across Europe, we are incredibly excited to continue to expand internationally and to welcome Rome as another fascinating city to our family of Christmas gardens.Stephen Flint Wood, Executive Vice President of Events Arts and Entertainment from IMG, also confessed that he was equally excited to bring Incanto di Luci to the Eternal City Silvia and Mauro Dorigo of Be.It Events were keen to recall how much this event at the Botanical Garden is an opportunity to create an “enchanted microcosm” around the Christmas holidays.

As the Italian partners reveal: “The goal is to arouse wonder in children, who know how to let themselves be enchanted, but also in adults who increasingly want to experience strong emotions and, perhaps, almost forgotten”. Silvia Dorigo continues: “This appointment is also an injection of hope for a better world, which once again becomes a place of peace and serenity. Since the lights of the event will light up in unison in six different countries, from Germany to France, from the United Kingdom to Spain, with the novelties of 2022: Italy with Rome and Poland with Chorzów”.

The “magical” world of Incanto di Luci

The artistic works are by light designer Andreas Boehlke, which will be accompanied by the melodies of composer and sound designer Burkhard Fincke, to create a unique atmosphere immersed in nature. It is important to keep in mind that the facilities have been designed to have a limited environmental impact, thanks to the use of LED bulbs and the extreme attention paid to the protection of greenery and fauna. Incanto di Luci, as the note points out, was born in full respect of the ecological transition underway in Italy.

But every step is designed to guarantee entry into an imaginary world among the shining palms of the Avenue of Glittering Branches, through the Cathedral of Light, to meet the tree fairies, and then gaze up the stairway to the moon. Visitors also have the opportunity to enjoy a refreshing break with the gastronomic specialties of the Luci e Delizie region. And to get into the Christmas spirit, this trip among the lights ends with the sparkling Rondo di Natale. The latter nestled between the decorated trees and the ubiquitous Santa Claus sleigh. “It will be an adventure not to be missed to be transported into a magical world, which radiates the beauty of nature in space and projects the gaze towards infinity”.
