“I’m not really a fucking Oscar,” reveals Kristen Stewart on possible nomination as Princess Diana for “Spencer”

Kristen Stewart is possibly leading this year’s hotly contested Best Actress Oscar race for her role as Princess Diana in Pablo Larraín’s “Spencer”.

In an interview with the Variety podcast, Stewart revealed he was indifferent to a possible Oscar: “I don’t fuck myself.”

She added, “The Oscars are such a funny thing. There are so many amazing movies and performances that are not seen at the prices. It makes it clear where we are as a cumulative presence – what we watch, what matters to us. I really appreciate that something I’ve been involved in has sparked such a great conversation. We don’t make movies so we don’t connect.

“Spencer” premiered at the Venice Film Festival and Stewart was applauded by audiences for her performance as Princess Diana.

Critics are already ranking Stewart as one of the favorites for the 2022 Oscar.

The Princess Diana biopic won’t hit theaters until November 5.

On Rotten Tomatoes, the feature film directed by Pablo Larraín (“LOVE: Lisey’s Story”) has garnered 86% of critical approvals, with 6 positive reviews and only one negative so far.

The plot will focus on a single weekend in the life of Diana (Stewart), where she spent Christmas with the Royal Family on the Sandringham Estate in Norfolk, England. It is on this occasion that she decides to divorce Charles, because of the many rumors of her affair with Camila.

In addition to Stewart, the cast also includes Timothy Spall, Sally Hawkins and Sean Harris.

2016’s “Jackie,” also directed by Larraín, starred Natalie Portman as Jackie Kennedy and the role later earned her an Oscar nomination for Best Actress.
