A strong hope, to which he often clung. But, as we know, television and film transpositions require a lot of work and must be transformed.

Others, on the contrary, assume that it is a financial question. A rather low figure, considering the very high salary received by Henry Cavill for each episode of The Witcher (for the second season, estimated at 1 million dollars per episode). So what’s the problem?

The most credible theory concerns work commitments. The Witcher could last a long time: the number of seasons is unclear – it is estimated that they can be 7 – just as Netflix’s intention is unclear. It’s a demanding and limiting project, which would certainly have deprived the actor of other opportunities, such as the one recently offered by DC. Because it is now certain that Man of Steel will have a sequel and Henry Cavill will play Superman again. Is that why he left The Witcher in the hands of Liam Hemsworth? For the moment, the actor has not exposed himself, but this remains the most solid theory.
