“Identity”: racial drama starring Tessa Thompson and Ruth Negga debuts on Netflix

The vaunted racial drama “Identity” (Passing) is now available on Netflix. The production, with Tessa Thompson, Ruth Negga, Alexander Skarsgård and André Holland, debuted this Wednesday (10) in the program.

The story revolves around two African-American women who live in the United States (Thompson and Negga) who manage to pass themselves off as white, but decide to live on the other side of the heavily segregated Harlem in 1928.

Rebecca Hall, known for starring in ‘Vicki Cristina Barcelona’, is making her directorial debut with the project. She also signs the screenplay, which is an adaptation of the novel of the same name by Nella Larsen.
