“I have a congenital malformation”: Damiano du Maneskin comes out in the open

Their peculiarity could also be due to a congenital malformation of the leader Damiano.

It all started with the X Factor: and who would have expected it?

Their friendship was born between the benches of the high school in Rome. The first to found the band are bassist Victoria De Angelis and guitarist Thomas Raggi. They started performing in 2015, but the star that led them to be one of today’s most famous Italian rock bands was their talent show X Factor in 2017. If one wants to say “thanks” to this defect, the singer has this stamp of voice which made him famous everywhere. Obviously to sing rock you need a special voice. As Damiano claims, this hole in his throat gives him such a low, raspy voice:

“My vocal cords are a little special, made like two arms, I have a congenital malformation: I have a hole in the middle. That’s why my voice is like that because the air passes through it”. Fortunately for him this defect does not generate any side effects on the contrary it seems to be a gift for him and for his career.
