Hugh Jackman spent 17 years of his career playing Wolverine, a famous character from the “X-Men”, a team of Marvel Comics mutants.

And now that the star is gearing up to reprise her role in ‘Deadpool 3,’ Variety asked her what her favorite hero movie was.

Many would bet it would say a team of mutants movie, or at least a Marvel movie, right?

Bad! In response, Jackman revealed that his favorite hero movie was Richard Donner’s “Superman,” starring Christopher Reeve and based on the DC comics.

The star also cited “Batman: The Dark Knight” (Christopher Nolan), also from DC.

Have fun watching:

“My favorite superhero movie? In ascending order, the first ‘Superman’. It was a turning point. Film by Dick Donner starring Christopher Reeve. I’m also thinking of one of Nolan’s “Batmans”. My favorite is “The Dark Knight”.

So are you surprised he didn’t even mention a Marvel movie?

In an interview with AP Entertainment, Jackman talked about his expectations for “Deadpool 3.”

Apparently, even with the feature having a sense of humor, we’ll get an even more relentless version of Logan than the ones we’ve seen previously.

The actor made a point of underlining how much he will have pleasure to take again the role which devoted it, and that he had already said goodbye.

“I can say that I’m going to have a lot of fun. I started at the gym and I eat a lot, and I feel bad for the cast of The Music Man with the amount of protein shakes I take. This is very fun. It’s been five years and I never really thought I would go back. And I’m really, really excited to be back. I kinda know the script, but I’m not going to tell you,” Jackman said.

But the most interesting part was when he mentioned he wanted an even angrier Wolverine: “There’s no choice. He’s definitely more grumpy, grumpy, and he’s going to take a lot of hits on Ryan Reynolds, I can tell you that. Physically speaking”.

‘Deadpool 3’ will be directed by Shawn Levy (‘Stranger Things’) and written by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, who penned the first two anti-hero adventures.

The film will mark another collaboration between Reynolds and Levy following ‘Free Guy: Taking Control’ and ‘The Adam Project’.
